Material

Yarn: 1 skein of Merino DK Da Fazenda - 100% merino wool. (You’re gonna use approximately 142,17yd/1,59oz) Needles: 3mm (circular 40cm) and 4,5mm (circular 40cm and dpns) 1 marker

Size

Adult woman (circumference 54 – 60cm)

Gauge (k2p2 ribbing, needle 3mm, not stretched) 14sts = 10cm

Directions

With needle 3mm, cast on 96st. Work 12 rounds in k2p2 ribbing.

Next round, switch for bigger needles mude and work a increase round:

*k3, kfb*. (120sts total)

Start chart.

round 1: *yo, k2, cdd, k2, yo, k1*. rnd 2 and all even: k. rnd 3: *k1, yo, k1, cdd, k1, yo, k2*. rnd 5: *k2, yo, cdd, yo, k3*. rnd 6: k.

Repeat rnds 1-6 five times more, or until your hat measure  20cm (height).

Start decreasing.

rnd 1: *k10, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round (10 decreases total) rnd 2: k rnd 3: *k9, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd 4: k rnd 5: *8m, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd 6: k rnd  7: *k7, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd  8: *k6, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd 9: *km, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd  10: *k4, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd  11: *k3, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd  12: *k2, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd 13: *k1, k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. rnd 14: *k2tog*. Repeat from *  to the end of the round. (10 sts total).

Cut the yarn and place the end on a tapestry needle. Pull the needle through the remaining sts and pull up tight to close the hole.

Pull the end to the inside and weave in ends.
