Material Yarn: Merino DK 6ply (Da Fazenda. 100% merino. 100g/ 260m)



You’re gonna need:  700 ( 740, 800, 860, 920, 1000, 1100, 1200) m Needles: circular 3,5mm and 4mm. Notions: 8 markers; cable needle; 8 buttons (2mm)


Gauge (with smaller needles, in garter st) 22 sts x 44 rows = 10cm



Abbreviations pm = place a marker sl m = slip marker rs / ws = right / wrong side m1 = increase 1 st 2/2 RC = right cross cable. Slip 2 stitches onto cable needle, hold in back; knit 2 stitches. Knit 2 from cable needle. ktbl – knit through the back loop.



Cable raglan row 1: p2, 2/2 RC, p2. rows 2 and 4: k2, p4, k2. row 3: p2, k4, p2.




Buttonholes Buttonholes are not described in the pattern. They must be made every 12 rows, starting at row 3, eight times, as seen in the picture, or up to the end, if you wish.

Facing Right Side, work as described in pattern up to the last 6 sts.

Hold the yarn in front of the work. Slip 1 purlwise. Move the yarn to the back of the work and leave it there. *Slip the next stitch to the right needle as if to purl. Pass the first slipped stitch over the second slipped stitch (1st binded off). Repeat from * twice more (3 sts bound off total). Put the last stitch you bound off back on to left needle.

Turn. Using Cable cast on, cast on 4 stitches. Turn. Wrap the first stitch from left and, with yarn to the back of the work, pass the last st you casted on over the stitch you wrapped (1 bind off). Then, k2.


Directions

Upper body (work in garter st)


With smaller needles, cast on 132 (132, 131, 134, 133, 130, 135, 139) sts.


K 19 (20, 21, 21, 22, 22, 23, 24) sts, pm, p2, k4, p2, pm, k 12 (10, 8, 9, 7, 5, 6, 6) sts, pm, p2, k4, p2, pm, k 38 (40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 47) sts, pm, p2, k4, p2, pm, k 12 (10, 8, 9, 7, 5, 6, 6) sts, pm, p2, k4, p2, pm, k 19 (20, 21, 21, 22, 22, 23, 24) sts.


K next row.

row 1 (rs): (k up 1 st before the marker, m1, k1, sl m, work raglan cable, sl m, k1, m1) four times, k to the end of the row. (8 increases) row 2 (ws): k, working the cables according to pattern st.


Repeat these two rows 5 (6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 10, 10) times more. Total 180 (188, 195, 198, 205, 202, 223, 227) sts.


Then,

row 1 (rs): (k up 1 st before the marker, m1, k1, sl m, work raglan cable, sl m, k1, m1) four times, k to the end of the row. (8 increases) rows 2 – 8: k, working the cables according to pattern st.

Repeat these eight rows 7 (6, 6, 6, 6, 7, 6, 6) more times. Total 244 (244, 251, 254, 261, 266, 279, 283) sts.


Then, row 1 (rs): (k up 1 st before the marker, m1, k1, sl m, work raglan cable, sl m, k1, m1) four times, k to the end of the row. (8 increases) row 2 (ws): k, working the cables according to pattern st.


Repeat these two rows 4 (6, 6, 6, 8, 8, 9, 10) times more. Total 284 (300, 307, 310, 333, 338, 359, 371) sts.


Split body from sleeves

Next row, removing all markers:

k 42 (45, 47, 47, 51, 52, 55, 57) sts, put 58 (60, 60, 61, 65, 65, 70, 72) sts on hold, cast on 3 (5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 10, 13) sts, k 84 (90, 93, 94, 101, 104, 109, 113) sts, put 58 (60, 60, 61, 65, 65, 70, 72) sts on hold, cast on 3 (5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 10, 13) sts, k 42 (45, 47, 47, 51, 52, 55, 57) sts. Total 174 (190, 203, 206, 223, 234, 239, 253) sts.


K 14 (14, 16, 16, 16, 18, 18, 20) rows from the armhole, finishing with a wrong side row (count the row where you split body from sleeves as the first one)


Switch to bigger needles.


Body


From now on, work the body this way: k 5 (5, 4, 5, 6, 3, 6, 5) sts, work lace panel 10 (11, 12, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15) times, k 6 (6, 4, 6, 6, 4, 6, 5) sts.

Sleeves (make 2)


Facing the right side, put 58 (60, 60, 61, 65, 65, 70, 72) sts back on your needles. Pick up and knit 3 (5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 10, 13) sts. Join to work in rounds.

Work 8 rows in garter st (k 1 round/ p 1 round – starting with a k row).


Bind off.
